Converse Sues Ed Hardy for Trademark Infringement

Converse trademark registration for the design of the two stripes on the midsole of the shoe, the design of the toe cap, the design of the multi-layered toe bumper featuring diamonds and line patterns, and the relative position of these elements to each other.

Converse, Inc. sued 31 companies this month for infringement of the iconic two stripes and toe cap found on "Chuck Taylor" sneakers.

While the shoes have looked pretty much the same since 1946, the trademark application to protect the trade dress was only filed in 2012 and registered in 2013.

Take a look at the "Dakota" from Ed Hardy. What do you think, infringement or not?
