What do Elvis and American Idol have in common?

by: Tamera H. Bennett Robert Sillerman, a Wall Street entrepreneur, is the proud new owner of Elvis Presley Enterprises and 19 Entertainment which owned American Idol.

The King's revenues have been stagnant at $40 million per year and with a purchase price exceeding $190 million in cash, stocks and debt reduction, Mr. Sillerman will need a few years to recoup his investment.

On the American Idol front, Mr. Sillerman can expect to receive per episode revenues from Fox Television that exceed $1.2 million. Mr. Sillerman purchased 19 Entertainment for $196 million.
